Mag. Susanne Gstöttner, Mag. Lukas Linser, Lio Soliman and Kristina Altrichter from SFU participated in the Masterclass Interdisciplinary Legal Studies of JKU – Johannes Kepler University Linz on the topic “Verfahrensgerechtigkeit – Procedural Justice” on February 20. Mag. Susanne Gstöttner gave a lecture on the topic “Autonomous Driving in the Real Lab – The Population as Sufferer or Profiteer?”, Lukas Linser on the topic “Victims in Sexual Criminal Law”. On January 30, 2020, the Faculty of Law together with the Steigerclub under the scientific direction of Priv.-Doz. Mag. Dr. Brigitte Schneider to the seminar Insolvency Law: Science meets Practice in the Festsaal of the SFU at Freudplatz.
Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Lovrek, President of the Supreme Court, spoke on the topic of insolvency law issues in civil proceedings.

The seminar was addressed to graduated lawyers (especially judges, lawyers, university members and business lawyers) as well as interested students. The focus was particularly on insolvency law issues, which are equally important for practice and science.

Dr. Florian Heindler delivered a keynote address on “the tech battle for e-service” at the Hague Conference on Private International Law on 11/12/2019.

On 21.11.2019, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Konrad Lachmayer discussed together with Dr. Katharina Körber-Risak “The ECJ decision on the Andritz case: can fines in the millions still be imposed under the LSD-BG?”. Programme download (pdf)

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Konrad Lachmayer gave a lecture on 14.11.2019 on “Security instead of free trade? Investment Checks and Sanctions Regimes as Increasing Restrictions in International Economic Law” at the colloquium “Law after Lunch” at the University of Halle.
