The law programme at Sigmund Freud Private University Vienna offers an excellent legal education with a high practical relevance. Law studies in Vienna follow the Bologna model with Bachelor (LL.B., 6 semesters) and Master (LL.M., 4 semesters). The law degree opens the door to all legal professions (lawyer, judge, notary and public prosecutor). Interdisciplinary education and practical orientation, individual supervision and innovative teaching as well as international perspectives and research orientation are the distinguishing features of the law studies at SFU. Practic experience is combined with an intensive academic education as well as project-based work, in order to achieve both a universal body of general jurisprudential knowledge as well as specific core competencies. Law is offered as a full-time – on-campus programme at the SFU.
